Pricing + FAQ

Pricing

My pricing is simple. Session fee + Collection= Total investment ($400-$800 range)

Session fee: The value of my time as a photographer, artist and consultant. 1 hr starts at $200

Collection fee: The value of your digital/print archives. 3 Collection options are offered with your proofing gallery. Collections start at $200.

Total spending depends on the length of your session (1 vs. 2 hrs, etc.) and which Collection you choose.
A pricing guide is available upon request. Payment plans are also available.

My style of family portraiture depends on a strong sense of connection and trust between me and the families I work with. I need to make sure you are just as good of a fit for me as I am for you– in order to make sure that I’m providing the best possible experience for my clients. The best way to do this is with a quick 20 minute “get to know each other” chat on the phone to make sure that I’m the right photographer for your family.

If you’re interested in learning more and are interested in booking a session with me, please schedule a call or email me.

Why?

I don’t need to guilt you into doing a session. You know in your heart the level of importance in investing into your family archives, or child’s portrait. As a Mom of three, who obviously takes too many photos on her iPhone and not enough on her “good cameras”, I can tell you how quickly it all goes. And how my heart beats when I look those dreamy captures of my babies and toddlers. My heart aches too, but in a good way. It reminds me to stay present with them now, even if they have smelly feet. Those curls might turn straight. Those teeth will grow in. Ok, I promised not to guilt you LOL. I am just telling you why I do it! I myself invest in a professional photographer, because there is something about handing things over and asking for a little help ;)

When?

Of course I would say there is no better time than this very moment. If you feel the pull to book, at least get the process started. In all reality, there are certain vibes to certain seasons. As a busy Mom, I know how rare a gap in the calendar is, and how busy it all feels now that we are getting back into the “norm” (was this crazy pace really normal??). Start with the season, then focus in on what time of day you all are at your best… and go from there. The fall is pretty busy for all of us parents, so if you can swing spring/early summer–it feels less stressful. Winter is quiet and lovely, with more light streaming into your home (due to less foliage outside) quite often… this is wonderful for in-home story-telling sessions and capturing the day to day.

Where?

You decided on the when, but are dwelling on the where. The good news is, you can have your cake and eat it too. I would love and prefer to get a slice of your home life onto my memory card + pick a favorite location of yours (or mine, if needed). This could very well be your backyard. In general kids are more relaxed when we start at your home, on their turf. This allows your family to share some of their normal (and so important) life & story with me. Afterwards, we can go on an adventure together and root ourselves in the great outdoors. This isn’t an all-day affair, I promise. Changing things up can keep everyone engaged and interested.

FAQ

  • Scheduling + Timing

Session availability depends on the type of session. I recommend booking as soon as you know your family's schedule so you can get the date & time that works best for you. I accept a limited number of family session dates per month, so I recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. Family sessions are a minimum of 1 hour, unless I am running a Mini Session special (30 minutes). Portrait sessions are a minimum of 30 minutes. Newborn sessions are a minimum of 2 hours and can last up to 4 hours.

  • Session Fee

A non-refundable session fee of $200 is required to secure your booking (for a 1 hour session). If for any reason, your session has to be postponed, your session fee will be available to be applied to a future session within one calendar year. Credit card payments are accepted through my secure online client portal. Payment plans are available upon request. 2 hour sessions are available with a $300 session fee. 3 hour sessions are available with a $400 session fee. You get the point.

  • Travel

Sessions can take place at your home or at a location of your choice within the Saint Louis, MO Area. A location guide is available upon request if you are having trouble deciding on a location for your session. Locations further than 30 miles from my office in 63143 will be charged a minimum $100 travel fee.

  • Lighting + Attire

I rely on natural lighting for all sessions. If we are uncertain about the available light in your home, I can pop by for a quick visit to make the call. If necessary, I can bring small portable lights to provide your family with beautiful and natural light. I also provide a session guide that can steer you in the right direction with any concerns about what to wear.

  • Rescheduling

There is no penalty to reschedule due to bad weather &/or illness. We reschedule to the next session date & time available for us both. I understand that things come up unexpectedly but when possible; I appreciate clients providing me at least 48 hours notice on rescheduling requests.

  • Collections: Put it in print

Once your session is complete, I will hit the ground running on editing your beautiful images. Anything blurry or blinky will be left out. The best of the images will be edited, and put in a proofing gallery for you to view. You will have a few days to laugh/cry/swoon over the images and make your selects. Once you decide how many images you can't live without, you can pick and purchase a Collection–which has various print/digital options ranging from $200-$600.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
